What you’ll do

  • Perform the accounts payable function within the Finance Team.  You will also perform backup payroll duties, and general administrative support to the broader team.
  • Maintain organised accounts payable records.
  • Process operating and capital expenditure payments through the accounts payable system via electronic funds transfer.
  • Meet timeframes for routine payment schedules, accommodate urgent payments, and foreign currency payments.
  • Contribute to the management of cash payments and ensuring sufficient funds are available for forthcoming payments.
  • Professionally respond to queries in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Monthly journals and reconciliations.

What you’ll need

  • Knowledge of basic accounting theory and practice.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Experience with computer applications used for accounting, purchasing and payroll systems, including general ledger, spreadsheets, and databases.
  • Demonstrated relevant experience in the accounts payable and payroll functions.
